Derek and I went on vacation in Fort Lauderdale in 2007 and "Hey there, Delilah" was inescapable. The memory of it coming on the radio and Derek changing the station ONLY TO FIND IT PLAYING ON ANOTHER STATION is seared into my mind forever.
Hahahaha right?! Those two songs had us in all in a chokehold stronger than Taylor Swift’s “Eras” marketing team. There is strong evidence for tween girl fandom being the backbone of our global economy.
Enjoyed reading this as someone who will be going to Barcelona for the first time this year. How a city can change once we revisit it. Love the poem part and connecting with strangers.
