Hello again Friend,
Happy last day of 2021. I hope it was a great year to you for the most part, and if it wasn’t, then I hope it at least came with some good information.
I wanted to drop you something short and sweet just to say that I’m thinking about you and if nothing momentous happens today, despite our calendars’ insinuation to have some kind of grand finale, it was still a kick-ass year of small moments.
I think the small moments that often get overlooked are the same ones that build over time to either create the huge and exciting milestones, or they’re the building blocks that shape each day into being a normal one in the life I’ve always wanted. Both of which are equally worth noticing and celebrating in whatever way sounds most fun and fulfilling, even when there’s not a ton of people around.
So cheers to you and to me and the year we’ve spent together and apart. May we all feel no pressure to force something to happen that we don’t want or can’t control, and enjoy all the things that happen on their own no matter how big or small. Not tonight, and not any other day in 2022 either. Because just like inspiration, the most thrilling moments can’t be summoned no matter how much pressure is put on them. All we can do is enjoy the small moments that come along while we wait. I’m the meantime, light all the candles, dance in your kitchen, wear the good underwear, and if the night turns into a huge party, then I hope you enjoy every second of it.
Sending you light and love and so many good wishes for the year ahead of us.
Love always,
Izzie
